Poarch later served as a United States Navy officer and spent several years in Japan. Bella claimed that her dad was a sexist and abusive father, and neither of her brothers were friends at school. Poarch began actively posting her content on TikTok in April of 2020. Her lip sync videos (most prominent is her clip that lip syncs Soph Aspin of Millie B, currently the site's most popular video) and dance videos, as well as blogs, skits or promotional content gained her the attention of.
